{"id":191,"date":"2010-10-25T17:02:35","date_gmt":"2010-10-25T17:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/larica.uniurb.it\/sigsna\/?p=191"},"modified":"2010-10-25T17:02:35","modified_gmt":"2010-10-25T17:02:35","slug":"ir11-sustainability-participation-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigsna.uniurb.it\/?p=191","title":{"rendered":"IR11: Sustainability, Participation, Action"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--:en-->Last week I&#8217;ve been at the <a href=\"http:\/\/ir11.aoir.org\/\">IR11 Conference<\/a> (the annual conference of the <a href=\"http:\/\/aoir.org\/\">association of Internet researchers<\/a>) where I presented  the SIGSNA research on the propagation of information in Friendfeed &#8211; starting from the analysis of the death of Mike Bongiorno &#8211; [see slides below].<br \/>\nIR11 was a great experience and aoir is probably one of the best academic group around within the area of internet studies. The overall quality of the conference was really high (special thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/torillsin.blogspot.com\/\">Torill<\/a> &#8211; the program chair &#8211; for her great work ) and I had a chance to meet many great people doing incredible researches.<br \/>\nAmong those I really would like to point out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mappingonlinepublics.net\">Mapping Online Publics<\/a> (at the Queensland University of Technology) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/retrov.org\/\">Retro-V<\/a> project (at the University of Washington).
